Dave & Buster’s is coming to Huntsville’s MidCity in July 2019.
RCP Companies announced the move today, saying the 26,500-square foot food and entertainment venue will be located at the intersection of University Drive and Old Monrovia Road.
Dave & Buster’s is expected to be open its first Alabama location at Riverchase Galleria in Hoover by the end of 2018.
Max Grelier, co-founder of RCP Companies, said Dave & Buster’s will appeal to “all ages and all interests.”
“We intend to create an authentic ecosystem that inspires social interaction, celebrates our regional culture and provides residents and visitors opportunities to share memorable experiences in a vibrant, energetic place,” Grelier said.
Dave & Buster’s will feature hundreds of the latest arcade games, a state of the art sports bar with TVs, food, and cocktails.
The announcement rounds out an already formidable lineup of entertainment venues for the $350 million MidCity development. The first phase of the multi-use entertainment and residential complex is expected to be completed by the end of this year. One of the first components, the $20 million Topgolf, opened in December, while the Camp at MidCity, an entertainment venue, opened last August.
High Point Climbing and Fitness’ 25,000-square-foot indoor facility is now under construction and is expected to open next spring.
MidCity Adrenaline Zone, adjacent to Topgolf, is slated to break ground this summer. It integrates a functional lake system and kayak center, a 45-foot climbing wall and several multi-purpose lawns for recreational fun and competitive events.
This spring, designs and construction timeline will be announced for the cinema and an 8,500-seat, regional outdoor amphitheater.
