Great Harvest Bread Co. will open its second Alabama location later this summer in Huntsville.
The bakery cafè franchise, which has more than 200 locations nationwide, will open at The Shops at Merchants Square on the corner of Bob Wallace Ave. and Memorial Parkway South, according to real estate firm RCP Companies.
Ulta Beauty opened at Merchants Square in February. Other soon to be opened tenants include Chuy’s Tex-Mex, Brass Tap Craft Beer Bar, Char Steakhouse, Hand & Stone, J. Whitener Boutique and Chop Chop Salads.
Huntsville owner Sangeetha Bathala said the location will feature a locally curated menu.
“We plan to source coffee and produce from local farmers and vendors and make our food the right way, with wholesome ingredients, and from scratch, so you can feel good about eating our treats,” Bathala said.
Each Great Harvest Bread Co. features a locally-created menu which may include gourmet sandwiches with vegetarian options, espresso and coffee bar, artisan bread and other locally sourced specialty items. Great Harvest uses wheat from farms in Montana for its Honey Whole Wheat, Farmhouse White, Dakota, and Cinnamon Chip breads every day. It also offers muffins, scones, and baked goods.
