RCP introduces Victoria Jones. If you don’t know about her or haven’t listened to her music yet, you need to!
Earlier this summer we introduced you to Muscle Shoals duo Secret Sisters, whose mashup of genres: country, folk, soft rock, blues, and alternative, has garnered some real attention for the Alabama pair; a Grammy nomination, and a growing family of fans.
Introducing Talent
This month we’d like to introduce Huntsville musician Victoria Jones!
Victoria Jones, a Huntsville native, is self-trained R&B artist. Victoria began singing and songwriting as a young teen of fifteen.
Victoria Jones
In 2016, Victoria released her debut EP “White Butterfly,” a tracklist of songs written and composed by her. Her voice is full of soul, grace, and joy. Her music is a blend of “neo-soul, pop, and R&B.” Victoria’s vibe is ultra-cool, but approachable and friendly at the same time.
In an interview with Victoria, she expresses her love and loyalty to Huntsville by saying, “No matter where music takes me, Huntsville will always be my base.”
“Two of my important musical influences are Emile Sande, Emily King and also my church, The Rock Family Worship Center, who have been my greatest mentors on how to perform music with class, spirit, and excellence.” Victoria shared.
We asked Victoria about her favorite local music venue to play, and she expressly named Harrison Brother’s Hardware Loft, located on the square in Downtown Huntsville, AL.
“I love performing in intimate listening room venues. I hope to see more of such venues pop up in the city.“
Her fantasy dream venue would be anywhere in Wales, UK.
Women in Music
Earlier this month, Downtown Huntsville, Inc hosted the largest ‘Women in Music Weekend’ in Alabama. Victoria Jones was an instrumental performer and contributor to that exciting event.
Take a listen!
Enjoy a snippet of her performance at Harrison Brothers. Her enthusiasm is infectious.
Victoria is currently perfecting her live performance skills as she continues toplay locally. She is also preparing for her first full-length album.
Meanwhile, RCP Companies continues to develop creative retail, residential and entertainment/music venues to foster and nurture creative local talent, like Victoria Jones, through The 7-2 Music and Digital Arts Accelerator.
